I think my reasoning for this sprouted from Artist Alley this year at AX. Two years back I was going to buy a table with a friend of mine, but that fell through the cracks, and this year, walking around made me want to get one even more, even if it was by myself. I understand the business aspect of it and how you're only really popular when you draw stuff that people are into or whatever is popular (You don't know how many prints of Hetalia and Vocaloid I saw this year, not saying anything bad against them, I think they're both cool), I want to try to sell some stuff that I think people would want to find more of, you know? Someone wise said (in regards to cosplay, but we can extend it) to not do anything that is popular now, cause everyone is doing, but not to do anything too obscure, cause no one will know it.
You have do something that was popular like six years ago, and people will be all over it. Sorta like the power rangers cosplayers at AX (Whoever you were, you brought me back to the best days of my childhood. Thank you.)
Sounds like good advice to me.
Now I gotta go check on that cake
